Title: Senior Strategic Land and Planning Manager

The Company:

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a housebuilder for the hire of a Senior level candidate to join the team. My client identifies, secures and promote residential-led development opportunities.

Duties

  • Maintain awareness of Government planning policy and legislation including forthcoming changes to the NPPF and Development Plan process;
  • Become familiar with the issues around local authority 5-year housing land supplies;
  • Undertake planning assessments of new opportunities and produce recommendations for future planning strategies and timescales to take sites forward;
  • Work alongside the Senior Strategic Land Manager to identify areas of potential growth;
  • Provide support in producing commercial viability assessments of new and existing assets
  • Produce bid documents for new opportunities
  • Support the Strategic Land Director / Senior Strategic Land Manager in the promotion of and disposal of existing schemes
  • Assist with the appointment and instruction of consultancy teams,
  • Provide support at key stages such as local plan consultation and examination, planning application consultation and submission and appeals where needed.

Qualifications

  • A Town planning or related degree / masters degree
  • RTPI Accredited ideally
