Adecco are currently recruiting for an Electromechanical Design Engineer for a large electrical manufacturing company. This position will be based at their Scarborough site.

Misson:

The department of Design & Development plays a key role in ensuring that all customer needs - in the areas of product development & design engineering - are met and always satisfied. Within a
factory setup with design team & development lab, you will be joining a dedicated group whose focus is to ensure product safety & reliability and compliance to international standards when design & development is taken up.


As an electromechanical design engineer, your role is to play a key part in the technical advancement of our products, develop new concept designs in order to ensure that they meet the requirements of Customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Executes assigned product design- Drawings and BOMs (bill of materials)
    according to given technical specifications using dedicated tools (SAP,
    CREO, AutoCAD) in autonomy.
  • Applies drawing rules, standards, project specifications, industrialisation internal
    rules, internal processes.
  • Creates, modifies & validates bills of materials and drawings of parts and sub-assemblies in accordance with technical specifications, customer expectations and supply chain constraints.
  • Supports the execution of verification & validation of design and prototypes in laboratories and the analysis.
  • Participate in customer FAT and provide technical solutions to customer issues of results & shares reports to internal customer (with possible support).
  • Interact & work collaboratively with commercial and contract team to review, clarify specifications and suggest improvements.
  • Update local design documents and generate documents such as IOM manuals, instruction sheets, commissioning instructions.
  • Guarantee Product Performance Compliance & contribute to Product Robustness in the plant.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8D deployment for complex issues, LEAN 6 Sigma experience desirable
