One of our clients is currently looking to recruit for the following position on a permanent basis.
Job Title: Electronics Repair Engineer
Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £40 - £45,000 per annum
Hours worked: 08:00 - 16:45 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 12:30 on Friday
Expected Start Date: ASAP

This position would require the successful candidate to undergo and pass security checks

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-reliability Connectivity solutions (Data Networking Components to Processor Based Subsystems) for aerospace, defence, space, and industrial applications.

They are looking for an experienced candidate to fault find, test, and repair all units returned by customers.

The role would involve you carrying out the following duties:
* Fault find and repair defence/aerospace power supply units down to the component level
* Investigate and identify faults using test equipment and processes
* Document all fault-finding and repair procedures ensuring robust traceability
* Liaise with test and production departments to ensure effective use of equipment in line with repair and production targets

You must have demonstrated knowledge and experience of electronic fault finding down to the component level. This would include detailed knowledge of power supplies, proficient use of fault-finding equipment, and demonstrated knowledge and experience of reading/interpreting Engineering drawings, PCB layouts, and schematics.
