Bid Manager                                                                                 Manchester (Oldbury)

Are you looking for a new challenge?  Do you have experience of working on Bids and Tenders?  We are looking for a Bids and Tenders Manager to work with a leading distributor of Engineering products.

As the Bid Manager you will be managing and coordinating the process responding to requests for quotations (RFQ’s), bids, tenders.  Whilst collaborating with internal teams you will gather the necessary information to complete competitive tenders.  You’ll evaluate customer needs, technical specifications and project scope and create persuasive and well structured proposals.

You’ll ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and customer specific guidelines and also collaborate with procurement teams to identify and evaluate potential suppliers or subcontractors.

To be suitable for the role you will have; 

• Previous experience in managing RFQs, bids and tenders in the engineering or industrial sector.
• A strong understanding of MRO, Engineering consumables, engineering products.
• You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills
• You will have a good analytical mindset and strong problem solving skills
• Proficient in using bid management software/tools and Microsoft Office.
• Strong commercial acumen

They offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 plus 23 days holiday (increasing with service), Contributory Pension, Healthcare Scheme, Life Assurance 2 x salary.
