Robots Programmer

We are working with an established end-of-line robotic packing and palletising automation systems company based in Hampshire, UK. They are recruiting for a Robots Programmer to join their team. In return for a salary in the region £35.000 - £60.000 along with excellent employment benefits.

You will be using the company Robot code standards but also creating new programs, writing and installing custom solutions, testing system efficiency, traveling to clients’ locations for commission of machines or for service, analysing system requirements, and providing operational support.

The successful Robot programmer will have some experience using Robots in an industrial environment, a logical approach to problem solving, documentation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

You will be integrated in a young and dynamic team and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Robotics code creation, debug and/ or development (essentially FANUC).
  • Create and implement safety logic using Fanuc PMC
  • Overseeing the successful interaction of Robot logic with PLC logic.
  • Participate in FDS (Functional Design Specification) creation. Create documentation to demonstrate how processes will work.
  • Design machine automation test criteria before installation.
  • Design and document testing systems for debugging, safety, and reliability. Troubleshooting system errors.
  • Traveling to clients' locations, meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs and/ or providing clients with technical support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Robot programmer in the automation industry.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc TP, PMC and Karel software and coding practices.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc simulation software Roboguide.
  • Able to read and interpret Electrical Schematics.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic systems, mechanical actuators like Motors and Servo motors and Sensor technology.
  • Some knowledge of IT programming languages: C#, VB
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Driving licence and ability to travel when required.
  • Follow company coding practices, reenforcing standardization.
  • Produce documentation related to the work done.
