Our Client, an international leader within their field, is currently recruiting for an Supply Chain Engineering Manager to join their HQ in High Wycombe. 

The Supply Chain Engineering Manager will work as part of the Supply Chain team to support the Head of Supply Chain in key projects, initiatives and contract manufacture management to ensure best in class quality, delivery and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of the Supply Chain team to support the Head of Supply Chain in key projects, initiatives and contract manufacturer management to ensure best in class quality, delivery and cost. 
  • Manage two direct and other indirect reports. 
  • Travel as and when required (infrequent) mainly to South-East Asia and the US. 
  • Assist the Development team in New Production Introduction and maintenance of existing products.
  • Project management within Supply Chain. 
  • Line management of Supply Chain Engineering team. 
  • Supplier contracts – create, review, negotiate & maintain. 
  • Assist with strategic initiatives for the business. 
  • Identify areas of risk and propose solutions. 
  • Provide support to Head of Supply Chain

Qualifications

  • BTEC HNC or equivalent pass in Electronic Engineering. 
  • Minimum of 4 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C and above including Maths and English.
  • Engineering degree (preferable but not essential)

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in an engineering role in an electronics environment. 
  • Knowledge of modern assembly production and functional test methodologies/techniques.
  • Experience of process improvement, 80/20, LEAN principles, Six Sigma etc. 
  • Experience of electro– mechanical procurement/purchasing in a global environment to quality and cost requirements
  • Knowledge of injection/compression moulding. 
  • Understand circuit schematics & debug methods Understand 2D mechanical drawings. 
  • Use of 3D software packages. 
  • Contracts - writing & negotiating Experience of working with overseas entities
  • Stage gate process experience Line management of small team incl. multisite location
  • Performing employee reviews 
  • Project management PRINCE2 or similar training/qualification (desirable)
  • Transfer of product & materials between manufacturing sites
