Summary

Working as part of the Maintenance Team, reporting to the Maintenance Team leader. Carry out maintenance and associated work to the highest safety and quality standards whilst adhering to plans and schedules.

Utilise expertise and knowledge to drive performance, whilst identifying opportunities for the wider maintenance function to continuously improve its daily operations.

Key Accountabilities 

• Demonstrate an in depth understanding of all Plant equipment and processes.
• Positively encourage a culture of safety first.
• Develop, create and approve task specific RAMS.
• Adhere to Safe Operating Procedures and Sembcorp Management Procedures.
• Always ensure adherence to safe systems of work.
• Take the lead in defect elimination.
• Manage contractors on all scales of maintenance activities as required.
• Take a leading role with regard to the upkeep of the maintenance workshops, Plant and storage areas adhering to the 5S methodology.
• Lead reactive breakdown diagnosis and repair.
• Proactively undertake planned preventative maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
• Identification and specification of maintenance work orders.
• Lead on project work as requested, including installation and commissioning of new equipment, machine modifications, improvement works, etc.
• Ability to source technical information as required.
• Generating and implementing continuous improvement ideas.
• Provide regular updates to Team Leader/Planners on status of ongoing maintenance activities.
• Proficient with the computerised maintenance management system and maintenance of work records.
• Provide cover for out of hours business needs as and when required.
• Role model to less experienced team members and act as coach and mentor.
• Required to stand in for Team Leader and/or Planner when required.

Qualification

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent (Trade Specific)
• IOSH Working Safely
• HNC (Desirable)
