Project Manager

Location: Sunderland

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Working with a world leading company on projects in a wide range of industries including automotive, packaging and aerospace etc. You will support a range of mechanical and electrical engineering projects.

What you will be doing:

· Managing the day-to-day business operations across major projects

· Planning, control and monitoring, both internally and directly with customers, of projects from quotation to contract completion.

· Produce quotes and undertake estimating for projects

· Report on contract performance, ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported

· Support the General Manager, UK with the business planning and budgeting process for the region/business unit.

· Act as line manager for allocated project engineers/managers and the site-based operations team.

What you will bring to the team

· Experience of managing capex project teams

· Experience of negotiating and agreeing contract costs and variations with customers.

· Knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical contracting

· Ability to present and explain technical concepts

· Experience of using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry recognised project management tools for tracking, analysis, business documents, presentations etc.
