Our client is a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Controls / Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will assist with the design of electrical control systems and the build & assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of machinery.

The Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for undertaking electrical engineering duties associated with the design build / assembly of control panels for a wide range of machinery including conveyors, robots, depositors, weighing equipment and more.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

  • Design electrical control panels using AutoCAD and E-PLAN software
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation as required
  • Plc software design, coding and testing
  • Assist with machine installations and commissioning

The role will be primarily workshop /office based however there will be a requirement to undertake some field duties. e.g. installations & commissioning

Candidates:

The successful candidate will have a minimum HNC qualification in electrical engineering and you will have previous experience in control panel design.

You will be competent in the use of AutoCAD and EPLAN software and candidates with plc programming skills will have advantage.

You should have at least 5 years industrial electrical engineering experience and applicants who have a good knowledge of automated machinery will be preferred.

Knowledge of plc controls either Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley essential.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8.30am -4.30pm
