Position: Multiskilled Engineer.

Salary: £50,000 + 8% bonus =£53,000 +

Location: Merseyside/Cheshire

Shifts: Mon-Fri - 3 week rotation (Morning 6am-2:15pm Fridays finish 12pm ) (Afternoons 2:15-10pm, Friday 11:45am-5:45pm) (nights 10pm-6:15am)

This is an amazing opportunity to work with an ever growing food manufactuer in the UK. Our client is eager to hire a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their ever-growing business.

Working within the busy Engineering department they will be supporting all areas of Production, packing and site facilities. They will be assisting the Engineering Manager with the efficient and effective execution of the maintenance and engineering activities.

The role of Multi-skilled Engineer:

  • Carry out routine/emergency maintenance on, conveyors, sensors/switches, Siemens PLC’s, pumps, steam generation plants, compressed air systems, shrink wrappers & palletisers.
  • Experience in production FMCG environment.
  • Carry out maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule within time frames given.
  • Responding quickly and efficiently to break downs to ensure rapid turnaround
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Maintenance and fault find of production and packaging equipment.
  • Pneumatics
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and inverter driven equipment
  • Identification and implementation of improvements
  • Identification and selection of spare parts required

A successful Specialist Engineer should be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail whilst working safely. You’ll have a unique job title and role meaning an ideal candidate needs to be proactive and organised.
