Electrical & Controls Installation Technician - Aerosol / Packaging - MC(phone number removed)

Electrical Technician required based in Laindon, Essex in a purpose-built design, engineering and headquarters building with 70 employees at this site.

The majority of our business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for

aerosols, specialising in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

The basic equipment is made by our principals in Europe. The company incorporates this and

other machines into the lines, linking them with our design conveyors, enclosures, air

handling, electrical control systems and ancillary equipment.

All panel building, wiring, and PLC programming is done on-site, and various other

departments specialise in pneumatics can handle and guard building, machining, machine

assembly, commissioning, and documentation.

Electrical & Controls Installation Technician Position Overview

We are looking to appoint an Installation Electrician to work alongside our existing

Installation Electricians to install the electrical controls for bespoke Aerosol filling machines

at our factory premises with possible site installations.

Electrical & Controls Installation Technician Position Requirements

- Familiarity with control and machine components

- Knowledge and understanding of various hand tools

- Able to work with several types of cable management, tray, basket, trunking, conduit,

and the skills to prepare and install cable management system

- Knowledge cable types required for a project and install accordingly, YY, CY, cable

diameters, single core, or multicore which are based on different control and power

supplies, 400V AC, 215V AC, 24V DC

- Termination of electrical power and control cables in field mounted and panel mounted

devices

- Understand electrical wiring diagrams for component identification, cable terminations

and differentiation from a panel device to a field mounted device, contactors, relays, and

motors

- Low voltage controls and medium voltage controls and equipment

- Familiar with Industrial electrical installations

- Familiarity with automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment

- Formal Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship)
