Job Profile for Injection Mould Setter - MC(phone number removed)

Injection Mould Setter required for a well-established multi-national packaging systems and solutions manufacturer in Derby. There will be a requirement to cover the production line to cover for staff shortages and there is a mandatory 104 hours overtime per year required (usually rostered at weekends). This will be very secure employment with great opportunities for promotion long term.

Injection Mould Setter Position Overview

• Carry out /Assist with tool changes
• Monitor and maintain quality levels and standards
• Assist with stripping down tools
• Set up the run after a tool change (i.e. product quality, first off samples and set up the robot)
• Complete product quality checks
• Maintain the machine parameters throughout the production run
• Keep scrap and machine downtime to a minimum
• Communicate with all departments, in order to keep jobs running
• Ensure Production Area is tidy, clean and safe during their shift
• Support Maintenance, Tool Engineers and Shift Supervisors when required.

Injection Mould Setter Position Requirements

• Setting experience within injection moulding manufacturing (5 years +)
• Experience with Engel and Krauss Maffei injection moulding machines (desirable)

Injection Mould Setter Position Remuneration

• You must be able to work the standard 5 days weekly rotation 3-shift system (40-hours) of 0600-1400, 2200-0600, 1400-2200 (8 hours Monday to Friday), and be able to commit to overtime.
• £41kish earnings (£18p/h + average of £20p/h with all hours included)
• £37kish for a skilled Setter, fully qualified monthly paid in addition they'll receive 10% of the salary each month for the 104 hours regardless of when the hours are worked.
• Includes a bonus of £2500 (subject to profit), private healthcare, life assurance, 8% pension, and shopping discounts.
• Additional overtime on top off mandatory overtime available at increased rates
• 24 days holiday+ bank holidays + additional day off for your birthday.
