Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a bespoke manufacturing company looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their facility in Sheffield with immediate effect.

• Salary - £34,000
• Monday to Thursday 6.15am till4.30pm
• Holidays are 25 days plus stats
• Vouchers at Christmas

Supporting the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maximising efficiency, minimise unplanned stoppages, and ensuring a safe working environment

Other responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer include; 

• Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system
• Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdown situations 
• Identify any spare part requirements, and initiate their procurement through the requisition process, providing technical specifications and manufacturer/supplier details
• Undertake safety improvement work raised by the Hazard Risk reporting procedure. Strive to eliminate risk through plant improvement and better working practices.
• Diagnosing breakdown problems 
• Install and commission to recognised standards any new or relocated equipment within the site
• Maintaining mechanical tools and equipment including presses, welders, and rivetting
• Assist in maintaining the quality control aspects of certification and production program schedules
• Interface with and support other departments in developing continual improvement

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with the following:

• Apprentice trained with NVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering as a minimum
• Time served experience within a manufacturing environment
• Team player attitude
• Experience in the use of a planned preventive maintenance system
• Ideally have worked within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment previously
