Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Tool change Technician to join our client, manufacturing site based in Beccles. Due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Tool change Technician to join their team.

The role of the Tool change Technician is to assist the shift supervisor in ensuring that planned and unplanned tasks are performed with effectiveness, efficiency, and always in alignment with the standards set by the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • QC check is completed on machines or at your supervisor’s request accurately.
  • Ensure all production checks & documentation are completed.
  • Report to your Supervisor when any machines are stopped for any reason other than tool changes. Report all machine faults if they cannot be cured or are affecting production.
  • Ensure that tool changes, colour changes etc., are carried out in accordance with the training procedure as laid down by the Manager/Technical supervisor or relevant work instructions.
  • All check/log sheets and pallet labels should be filled out clearly and correctly with all relevant information.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.

Tool change Technician should possess experience in technical fields such as mechanic/engineering or similar roles within manufacturing environments. They should demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve objectives and take responsibility for their work and actions. Additionally, a strong understanding of tool changes or qualifications in engineering would be advantageous, they are not mandatory.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with work scheduled from Monday to Friday, completely free of night shifts. Our scheduling system operates on a rotating basis, offering three shifts: Week 1 runs from 06:00 to 14:00, Week 2 from 10:00 to 18:00, and Week 3 from 14:00 to 22:00.
