Location: 20 mins from Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, and Newmarket
Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
Our client, a leading brand within agricultural machinery manufacturing is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual with a passion for engineering, agriculture, and customer relations. As a Product Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and contributing to product and production development. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth, including occasional overseas travel and participation in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise engineering and technical knowledge to understand customer requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Build strong rapport with customers, effectively communicating technical information and product benefits.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide feedback for continuous product and production improvement.
- Present technical information to small groups confidently and effectively.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets.
- Provide weekend phone cover on a rotational basis as part of the After Sales Team.
- Engineering technical knowledge and experience, preferably in agricultural machinery.
- Understanding of agriculture, with knowledge and experience in electrics, hydraulics, and mechanics being advantageous.
- Proficiency in English (written/spoken). Proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Positive mindset, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude.
- Ability to learn continuously and share knowledge with others.
