An award-winning renewable technology company and energy consultancy are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a hybrid position to work from their facility in Worcestershire and from home with some travel across the UK as and when required. 

Salary:  £50,000 - £65,000 p.a. + Excellent Benefits including Pension and Private Health Care 

Location: Worcestershire / Hybrid 

 

The Role 

Reporting to the Technical Director and working closely with the other areas of the business, as well as our specialist supply chain, your role will involve:

  • Generate scope and specification documentation for subcontractors to work to.
  • Generate Electrical designs and calculation (SLD and full design packs)
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers.
  • Generate and review others controls designs.
  • Size equipment (circulation pumps, air handling units, heat pumps, cabling etc).
  • Develop and manage full bill of materials.
  • Generate project scope and specification documents.
  • Work with the Technical Director and gain experience in heat pumps and integration to existing buildings.
  • Generate Design risk assessments, DFMEA’s, Desops, FDS etc.
  • Work as key member of the project design team to review and sign off site works. 


The Person 

Essential

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar function.
  • Experience with at least one of ePlan (or similar design package), Autocad, Solidworks.
  • Strong team member, but also a self-starter and capable of managing their own time.
  • Excellent communication skills to all business levels.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Desirable

  • Experience of energy and low carbon equipment.
  • Experience of analysis of energy use.
  • Knowledge and/or qualifications in Health and Safety.
  • Experience of managing and developing client and supplier relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
