Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will maintain reliable operation of the plant. The job function is to carry out multi-skilled Maintenance tasks. The work involves a range of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance as required. Diagnostic trouble shooting and problem analysis are essential skills.

Description

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work Mon-Fri 6am-4pm one week 8:30am-7:30pm the next and be responsible for:

• Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis.

• Use predictive maintenance techniques such as thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis as well as experience, skill and judgement to make regular assessments of the plant condition

• Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance work-flow methods and techniques.

• Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency

• Employ Preventive/Predictive maintenance techniques to achieve benchmark plant reliability

• Ensure availability of critical spares

• Manage own work flows to remain within maintenance budget

• Oversee projects when required

• Ensure adherenvce to safe system of work, ppe permits, risk assessment etc

Profile

The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have:

• Technical school higher qualification (NVQ) or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge with relevant hands on experience.
• Electrical qualification.
• Basic understanding of preventtitive/predictive maintenance techniques.
• Excellent technical, analytical and fault-finding skills.
• Good knowledge of Maintenance process and activities.
• PC literate, competent computer skills.
• Proven continuous improvement skills.
• Working knowledge of technical English (verbal and written).
• Experience in supervising contractors.
• IPAF License.
• Confined Space trained.
• Mansafe system trained.
