Due to continued investment, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team in Pitstone on a 6 month contract basis.

The Role

Within the role of Quality Engineer you'll be responsible for:

* Quality engineer focusing on First Article Inspections
* The FAIR Engineer shall work with the Quality Engineering team to produce / capture and submit First Article inspection records in accordance with AS 9102 - latest issue . Fair engineers shall be capable of the entire process, reviewing and approving of the first article and securing delegated signatory.
* The individual will work in close contact with the customer and stakeholders across the business. Key communication and engagement to maintain customer satisfaction and confidence is critical. The role will based onsite at Pitstone, Hertfordshire with options for hybrid working after the initial training period.

You:

* 2-5 years experience of working within a quality engineer role within a manufacturing environment
* Internal Auditing Experience
* Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications
* Manual inspection experience
* Supplier development and supplier quality experience
* Knowledge of 8D and other problem solving experience (not essential)
* Motivated and excellent team player
