Opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to control engineering, maintenance and facilities/site services for a manufacturing business that has been trading for over 60 years.

Improvement opportunities: The company has been on a CI drive recently and there is still scope to make further improvements within the site.

You won't be dropped in the deep end: The current incumbent is retiring and will be on hand to provide a handover period to not leave you high and dry!

Secure employment: The company has completed a recent £2million CAPEX investment in the site and is well placed to continue to grow.

What you will do as the Maintenance Manager:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the maintenance department.
• Ensure all relevant engineering-related legislations are in place and maintained.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance system on site.
• Work to ensure machine reliability is kept to a high level.
• Be responsible for the upkeep of site services/facilities and oversee any building/construction projects for the site.
• Advise senior management team of department budget requirements and capital investments.
• Project and budget manage any CAPEX for the site.
• Liaise with insurance providers as required.
• Source, engage and control external contractors as needed.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and processes are conducted within the function.
• Perform any required management duties relating to appraisals, training requirements, absenteeism, disciplinaries, holidays, sickness, etc.

What you need to apply for the Maintenance Manager position:

• Experience in covering maintenance and facilities/site services at a manager level in a manufacturing environment
• To hold relevant engineering/maintenance qualifications, ideally HND level
• Good all-round maintenance/engineering knowledge, preferably an electrical bias
• Contractor management experience

Your package

A salary of £45,000-£50,000 (dependent on experience), pension, private medical, and 27 days holiday plus the bank holidays.

Your working hours

Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm; Friday 8am - 4pm.
