With a Hertfordshire workshop that houses both metalwork and Joinery, we are looking to expand the team for exciting upcoming projects. About the Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker Opportunity: 

Our current projects vary from bespoke solid wood furniture, to Veneered Board joinery for residential and commercial use, therefore experience in all aspects of Cabinet Making and Bench Joinery is essential. Site fitting experience and expertise is also essential for completion of projects.

Alongside the Metalwork team you will be working in sync to create fully finished pieces of bespoke joinery, therefore we want candidates that have:>

• accuracy
• attention to detail
• eye for quality

The successful applicant must be hard working, trustworthy and able to work independently from shop drawings. All projects are deadline based and so overtime and weekend work is also available.

Successful Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker must have:

• A fluent knowledge and strong experience of working with Workshop machinery such as Panel Saws, Spindle Moulders, Edge Banders, Band Saws and Drum Sanders alongside hand tools.
• Our workshop is in the Hertfordshire countryside, you will require a Full UK driving license and vehicle to apply.

Please note:

• Unfortunately, Site Carpenters will not be assessed for this role as workshop experience is essential.
• This opportunity is for a rolling contract/project position with the current project lasting until December.
• Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity of a permanent position.
• An initial probation period of 2 weeks is assessed to ensure the correct skillset and quality of work is in place.

Whilst this role in particular is for an experienced joiner, we will also be considering junior joiners on a lower salary that wish to hone their skills in a very exciting and fulfilling side of the industry. If you have more than 2 years experience and are hungry to learn, please apply.
