About the role:
Astute's Power team is partnering with a world-wide food and industrial producer to recruit a Maintenance Engineer - Nights, (Mechanical Bias) for its site in Dalton.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will:

• Carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment.
• Undertake measures to improve the plant reliability, efficiency, and performance of the plant, always in a safe and efficient manner.
• Carry out reliability techniques including laser alignment, vibration analysis and oil sampling.
• Ensure adherence to safe system of work, PPE permits, risk assessment etc
• Get involved with project works when required.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Time served apprentice with a NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Qualification
• Experience working in a heavy industrial environment, such as power industry, CHP, refineries etc.

• Familiar with SSOW and permit to work systems

Personal skills:
The Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• Able to work autonomously.
• Able to work well in a high pressure situation.
• A strong communicator

Salary and benefits of the Maintenance Engineer role:

• Salary up to £42,902 + £4,097.50 shift premium + overtime
• Mon-Thur 7.30pm- 5.30am Fri 4.00pm - 2.00am The role is working 47.5 hours per week.
