The Role

The role is for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to produce high quality metal products (mild steel, stainless steel & aluminium) for the architectural industry. You will be involved in the whole manufacturing process from fabrication through to finishing.

  • Fabricating a variety of metals, mainly stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
  • Using a variety of shop floor fabrication machinery – training will be provided for the right person if you are not familiar on some of this machinery: Brake Presses, hand-tools, folding machinery, CNC machinery.
  • Working from engineering drawings to determine what materials are required and what processes will need to be used to fabricate to customer specifications.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; Preferably you will have at least two years of experience in a similar role and must be able to fabricate steels from engineering drawings. Ideally you will have previous exposure in fabrication of finished architectural products (other engineering or manufacturing industries will be considered). It would be advantageous if you also have welding experience. You will be highly skilled in all sheet metal duties, including fabrication, marking, bending, cutting, drilling, forming and general sheet metal manipulation.
