Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Technical Project Engineer to join our well established client. 

The Technical Project Engineer is responsible for driving NPI projects through the organisation. Providing technical guidance on product development and approvals for both mechanical and electronic engineering.

Job Duties: 

  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects in line with the companies NPI processes.
  • Create robust technical specifications to drive NPD Projects.
  • Ensure innovation is at the core of Product development.
  • Communicate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and ease of transfer between development stage gates.
  • Develop robust test plans to pass third party approvals.
  • Actively communicate with test centers to ensure products progress as quickly as possible.
  • Become a technical ‘go to’ person for certification and product queries.
  • Work with suppliers to deliver parts which maintain the highest levels of quality.
  • Provide technical support and field technical queries from customers, distributors, and colleagues, by phone, email or face to face, with any of electronic / mechanical product / queries that have been raised.
  • Improve the quality of technical design resources in customer communications. 
  • Support the effective problem solving of design issues / development requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal testing procedures. 
  • Work with internal departments e.g (Mechanical Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Contracts, Finance) to develop and maintain efficient company procedures.
  • Create electrical drawings and site wiring diagrams and provide support to customers and colleagues in the technical department.

Requirements: 

  • HNC in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent). 
  • Electromechanical Engineering experience within an NPD environment. 
  • Experience of using CAD / Drive works / SolidWorks. 
  • Significant experience working in a design team.
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Holds a current UK Driving License. 
  • Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally. 
  • Able to work at heights. 

Salary: £35,000 Per Annum. 

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Fridays 8:30am - 2pm. 

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
