My Client is recruiting for a Proposals Engineer in the Water Sector

Location: Birmingham with Hybrid and flexible working available

In this role you will be part of the pre-construction team as a Proposals Engineer ensuring our customers get the very best solutions utilising our experience from around the World.

A dynamic role working with like-minded individuals working alongside experts in their field both within the UK and internationally. A team culture where we work together to our strengths to win together.

You will be challenged to produce excellent proposals and accurate cost plans, but supported throughout.

You will work with your line manager to produce a bespoke training programme to ensure that you are best equipped and confident to carry out the role and progress.

Your Role

• You will own the proposal document and costing document, and lead the internal coordination to bring in members of the team to contribute
• Engage with and build relationships with our supply chain to request quotes and understand what is being offered
• Work along the allocated Sales Lead to ensure that your work meets the customers needs
• You will need to be happy to have multiple proposals running simultaneously
• Engage with our colleagues across the World to bring best practice and expertise into your proposal
• Attend site visits with the Sales Lead to discuss our solutions being proposed
• Ensure accuracy and customer focus is at the centre of everything you do

Experience and Qualifications

• Engineering qualification ideally in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Experience in the Water Sector
• Proposals and costing experience ideally in Water Engineering Sector
• Keen to provide environmental solutions
• Is keen to learn new water treatment technologies
• Is confident working on cost plans
• Can work with people and who understands that our success relies on working together
• Wants to work in a position that will make a real improvement to the environment
