QHS Coordinator

Carbon60 are currently looking for an ambitious and organised QHSE Coordinator to join one of our fascinating Manufacturing clients in Yateley.

The purpose of this role is to assist in the development, improvement, implementation and maintenance of the client's Quality and Health & Safety management systems within a regulated manufacturing setting.

This client specialises in the designing, engineering, build and supply of underwater technology which are for various purposes such as navigation, imaging, surveying and communication amongst many others. These are built to the requirements of clientele who sit within a broad array of interesting yet demanding industries.

Salary: Up to £34k p/a

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and development of specific QHS management systems (ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ISO 45001:2018 H&S Management System).
  • Coordinate development and implementation processes across the business, communicating with key areas of the company and providing admin support on various platforms.
  • Managing the change of processes in-line with Quality Management System documentation, ensuring register is maintained
  • Facilitate training support alongside the deployment of new processes and software in the support of ISO 9001, also assist/coordinate the migration of training to a centralised system.
  • Coordinate admin of Internal and External audits and formulating a review schedule
  • Provide accurate and effective KPIs and data to aid the identification of leads and improvement opportunities. This will include various metrics such as: customer concerns, opportunities to improve, health and safety actions (near misses/ accidents).
  • Coordinate planned lean six sigma programme

Required skills:

  • Ability to utilise Microsoft Office Package - Including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • General System administration ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 45001 H&S (Desirable, but not essential)
  • Degree level qualification or Equivalent (preferred, but not essential)

Desired skills:

  • Understanding of ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 45001 H&S Management System
