My client is a local and well established manufacturing business located in Norfolk. A thriving business with a strong Engineering team the design manager is looking for another Electrical Design Engineer to join them. This role would ideally suit a designer who has completed a relevant design or Engineering qualification looking for a role within a thriving manufacturing business. However the client would also consider a candidate who has relevant experience looking to take on more responsibility within a design team. Full product training will be given.

The role involves:
* Responsibility for the design and development of new products and all bespoke projects
* Assisting with New Product Introduction
* Cradle to grave responsibility for electrical design of products through to manufacturing
* Assisting with PLC (programmable logic controllers) and HMI software creation and testing
* Overseeing commissioning of electrical and control systems
* Sourcing new parts/components/materials as appropriate depending on the design brief
* Providing technical support to all departments internally
* Creating and updating relevant electrical engineering drawings
* Promoting and working towards the culture of Business Excellence with Quality performance and continuous improvements 
* Customer liaison and support through the life cycle of the project
* Working closely with manufacturing and commercial management departments to ensure the design and project is successful
* Assisting with O&M manual creation

Electrical Design Engineer - The ideal candidate will have experience within the following areas:
* Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant current experience
* A strong understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Design 
* Fully conversant with CAD principles for electrical schematics
* An understanding of PLC and HMI software
* Team orientated Engineer
* Strong communication skills
*A passionate and enthusiastic outlook
