Their Dams and Reservoir Division in Glasgow is expanding rapidly, and they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Engineer to join the award-winning team.

Role Overview

As a Principal Engineer in the Dams and Reservoir Division, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of a growing workload for both private and public clients across the UK and internationally.

Collaborating closely with the discipline lead, colleagues, and the wider business, you will be responsible for delivering successful projects, managing existing client relationships, and attracting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage and nurture existing client relationships, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the division.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers within the division.
  • Actively contribute to the development of industry best practices and stay abreast of emerging trends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of dam and reservoir projects.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Business development acumen with a track record of successful client engagement.
