The company

My client are a highly regarded, growing business with interests across a wide range of food and agricultural businesses. Based in Greater Manchester, the company manufactures and supplies premium quality products to an extensive list of key customers including major retailers. Due to growth they wish to appoint an Multi Skilled Engineer.

The role

To maintain and optimise the plant and equipment to meet the sites operational needs. Keeping the plant in a safe working order, operating effectively, and meeting all Technical, and Quality requirements expected in a modern food manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance of site machinery, equipment and systems to minimise downtime, optimise performance and maximise safety.
• Daily completion of the Engineering work log.
• Ensure work orders are completed to a high standard within the required time scale.
• Drive completion of PPM work in accordance to the monthly schedule.
• Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice.

The person

You will have Experience in both Electrical and a Mechanical capacity, you will have recognised engineering qualification, have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload, you will be proactive, ‘Right first time’ approach, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and be computer literate: proficient in Microsoft applications and CMMS systems.
