James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a Senior Estimator on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the Civil Engineering and Rail sector in Scotland.

Our client:

• The client is a leading Contractor operating primarily within construction and infrastructure schemes;
• With a responsible sustainability strategy, they invest significant time and effort to ensure safe working environments with minimal environmental impact;
• Projects range from Rail, Car parks, Bridges, Roads etc, ranging up to £5m;
• Due to on-going and future pending contracts, this is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the Scotland's most reputable contractors and get exposure to interesting and prestigious projects.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will be working with a small existing team in this permanent role based in Glasgow pricing Rail and Civils works projects;
• Manage the tender from allocation to award including carrying out take offs and tender review meetings;
• Prepare technical queries and send to the Client to seek clarification.

What you need to be successful:

• You will have a minimum HNC within civil engineering or quantity surveying or relevant field;
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Estimator;
• Previous civil engineering experience essential, Rail experience highly desirable.
