Are you experienced/qualified in the Land Based Engineering industry?

Would you be interested in supporting the delivery of T-Levels in Agriculture, Land Management and Production (ALMP)?

We are looking for a T Level Principal Examiner to join us in the development and delivery of our first assessment series in 2024 and beyond. 

Key roles and responsibilities for a Principal Examiner; 

  • Produce and submit assessment materials and participate in all stages of the production process until sign off
  • Prepare for and participate in the marking standardisation, sample, and monitor the work of markers and/or marking team leads to ensure consistency of marking
  • Prepare for and participate in awarding activities to ensure standards of assessments are maintained over time
  • Produce examiner reports and provide feedback on: quality of marking / assessment, collection of evidence, issues identified through the marking or moderation process
  • Keep up to date with any relevant changes to City & Guilds products, processes, services and systems
  • Advise upon appointments of and allocation of Markers and provide training, mentoring, and coaching on marking and moderation of assessments

Minimum requirements for the Principal Examiner role; 

  • Availability to attend meeting or manage key activities throughout the year – especially during key marking and awarding times
  • Have Industry specific qualifications relating to the sector area
  • Have current or recent experience of teaching or assessing in the relevant subject and level
  • Have up to date, relevant subject knowledge and/or occupational industry experience
  • Have experience of co-ordinating a team
  • Proficient IT skills with experience of using key business software e.g. outlook, Word and Excel
  • Have access to a secure PC with a firewall, up to date anti-virus software, private broadband access and a personal, private e-mail account
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • Have attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
