Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a global engineering company specialising in the design, development, and manufacture of bespoke machinery solutions for the medical device industry.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team.

We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of bespoke projects. Day to day you will contribute innovative mechanical designs for manufacturing equipment. Your main tasks will include creating detailed drawings, using 3D modelling tools, and ensuring designs are optimised for manufacturing.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Develop innovative mechanical design for customer projects.
  • Engage in specification meetings with clients, providing expert insights on mechanical design aspects of the project.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilise CAD software to engineer all mechanical components.
  • Supervise and offer support during equipment commissioning.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to hold a HNC or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering and have a minimum of 18 months proven engineering experience in capital equipment, ideally with broad experience in packaging equipment.

You must be a proficient CAD user and previously designed for manufacture and assembly with an understanding of machinery directives such as UKCA, UL, AS3000, and/or CE marking regulations.
