RSW are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Fitter for their established client who must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to the high standards set by the Company. The Electrical Fitter will need to have a proven track record of inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicles in addition to preventative maintenance of vehicles and other pieces of equipment. Mainly working in an engineering environment on road rail excavators.

Job Duties
 

• Fitting and installing electrical components to heavy vehicles
• Electrical diagnostics using manual or laptop devices.
• To commit to punctual attendance for day – to – day work
• Complying with all health and safety legislation and legal requirements is a priority.

Skills/Qualification Required

• A qualification in heavy vehicle engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ) or a recognised indentured apprenticeship would be beneficial.
• Good communication skills
• The ability to continue to learn and take on new tasks as and when presented.
• Being able to work as part of a team.

Previous experience working on machinery used in the rail Industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Hours of Work

Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 16:15 or 07:00 – 17:15 (1/2 Hr Lunch Unpaid)

Minimum 39 Hour Week before any overtime is paid.

Overtime

Time & half for hours worked Monday – Saturday.

Double time for hours worked Sunday.

This position is hourly paid and fully qualified and experienced candidates can expect to be paid £12.08 per hour.
