Residential Project Manager (Design Engineer)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Residential Project Manager to join our client in Rochdale. On offer is a competitive package, benefits and much more. Our client will offer a supportive and development focused culture which is tailored to each individual.

Main Role (not limited to):

  1. Production of design drawings for Residential and from time-to-time Commercial Automatic Sprinkler Installations, and associated procurement.
  2. Production of design hydraulic calculations for Residential projects.
  3. Project Management of the entire project and supervision of engineers & projects within the assigned labour team.
  4. Attending site and undertaking audits and inspections of onsite works and ensuring completion of works as per the design standards produced.
  5. Assisting and advising site engineers where required with all audits and general site issues
  6. Attend Contract Handover meetings with the Sales Team Members.
  7. Identify/update & communicate design issues, i.e. drawing standards, non- conforming issues etc. to the line manager.
  8. Check design quantities against tender quantities and raise any anomalies with Commercial and Estimating.

The Ideal Skills:

  1. Experience in a similar role
  2. Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem solving.
  3. Experience of working within a customer facing role, and able to build strong customer relationships.
  4. Able to work under pressure and to a high standard.
  5. Excellent communication/customer facing skills.
  6. Disciplined and organised.
  7. Able to work on own initiative, unsupervised, but also contribute to an effective team.
  8. Full driving licence (min 12 months driving experience).
