Perks of the role:

  • Shift pattern: Early/back, totalling 35 hours/week.
  • Generous hourly rate of £20.10, including shift premium.
  • Rotating early and back shifts (1 or 2-week rotation to be confirmed).
  • Benefits include 27 days annual holidays plus 8 public holidays and a 6% pension contribution from both employee and employer.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Precision machining of components using conventional and CNC Machine tools.
  • Monitor machine operation for accuracy and address any malfunctions.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure quality control.
  • Maintain meticulous records of job card hours.
  • Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness as per company policy.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and adaptability in multitasking.
  • Conduct regular machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Handle customer information with utmost confidentiality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, set up, and adjust CNC machining equipment.
  • Program CNC machines to produce parts meeting specifications.
  • Interpret engineering documentation accurately.
  • Produce parts of moderate to high complexity with precision.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Engineering apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification.
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, particularly with Fanuc Controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
