Hours of work:

Days hours only – 1 in 4 Saturdays required – Day off in the week.

Due to recent huge on site investment and plant expansion a leading manufacturer in Milnthorpe is seeking an Electrical & instrumentation Technician to complete their very successful engineering function on days.

Key duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair and calibration of various types of instrumentation, including; temperature, level, pressure, flow and load instrumentation.
• Liaise with EC&I Engineer regarding the condition of equipment to allow for financial planning in replacement and refurbishment activities.
• Participate in the commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Maintain the outstanding work list and work to priorities, in conjunction with other departments and within the Engineering Team.
• Support in a breakdown situation.
• Prepare and amend as appropriate, electrical drawings.
• Liaise with outside contractors as required.
• Ensure the Health & Safety of employees and contractors around your work and ensure that Safe Systems of Work are followed.
• Ensure all accidents and dangerous incidents are reported and appropriate action taken.
   

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills & experience:

• L3/ Apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Ability to fault find on complex systems using drawings & manuals.
• Experience/ Understanding of DCS and SCADA control systems Understanding of PLC logic.
• Ideally you will come from a continuous process/ production environment
