CNC Setter

Location – Rochester

Salary - £28,080 to £32,280 per annum 

Hours - Core hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday with overtime available on weekends

Are you an experienced CNC setter/operator/programmer?

Do you have experience of operating CNC Lathe machines?

Are you familiar with ISO (Fanuc) programming language?

My client a High-end hydraulic manufacturing and repair company with clients across a variety of industries is seeking an experienced CNC Setter to join their team in Rochester.

Responsibilities for the role of CNC Setter

• Operate and set lathe operation in a safety-conscious manner
• Collaborate with the existing team to optimise production workflows and procedures
• Competently operate and set machines with multi-station head tooling
• Operate and use manual milling machinery in an efficient and safe manner
• Plan workloads and requirements for completion of orders to a deadline
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
• Other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience required for the role of CNC Setter

• Must be fully conversant in ISO Fanuc programming language
• Proven experience in production engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of general mechanical engineering principles
• Must have a sound footing in workload management and order completion to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
