We are currently looking to support our client – a leading UK solutions provider operating across the natural gas, petrochemical, biomethane and decarbonisation sectors.
They are looking for a Compex Electrician to join their manufacturing department on a permanent staff basis at their custom built, modern workshop facility in Staffordshire. This will be a full-time hours role working Monday-Friday 8am – 4.30pm. The role is also likely to involve frequent travelling to client sites which will require overnight stays between 1- 4 nights at a time but there will be no weekend working.
A full description is given below but candidates should have at least 4 years working experience with at least 1 year post COMPEX qualification experience. A starting salary figure of 40.8K per annum is on offer but with overtime, uplifts, and other bonuses available, actual earnings could potentially exceed 60K per annum. COMPEX Electrician - Primary Duties:
•    Follow schematics provided by Engineering department to assemble panels, install electrical components etc.
•    Prepare built items for test
•    Conduct installation work under supervision on client sites
•    Work to company quality standards
•    Comply with Health & Safety regulations, plus company rules and regulations at all times
COMPEX Electrician - Secondary Duties:
•    Attend relevant courses in order to broaden your knowledge and skill set
 
COMPEX Electrician - Essential Skills:
•    Compex EX01 - 04
•    NVQ in Electrical Installation
•    2391 Inspection and Test, City & Guilds Electrical qualifications or equivalent
•    City & Guilds 18th Edition
•    Previous experience in industrial installation
•    Flexibility to travel and stay over throughout the UK whilst working on client sites
•    Attention to detail
•    Ability to work alone and in a team
•    Full, clean driving licence and own transport
COMPEX Electrician - Desirable Skills:
•    Previous gas industry experience
•    Previous National Grid experience
•    EUSR Gas Safety Passport
