With multiple distribution sites across the UK, it is one of the most established organisations in their sector. You will be working in a heavy engineering environment working on heavy plant machinery and other ancillary equipment.

  • Monday-Friday role - 3 shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights)
  • Up to 30 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Person Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Time served engineer, ideally from a heavy engineering environment
  • Must have demonstrable experience working with engines and hydraulics
  • Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND/NVQL3
  • Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments

Job Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
Working as the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will ideally have experience of maintaining industrial heavy plant machinery and ancillary equipment from a mechanical perspective.

  • Work in partnership with the Engineering Manager to carry out reactive repairs to site machinery
  • Responding to breakdowns and working to PPM’s.
  • Troubleshooting & practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
  • Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
  • Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
