Maintenance Manager

Location            Deeside

Salary               Negotiable + pension + benefits    

A genuinely superb & quite unique opportunity for a maintenance manager to join a market leading business to help setting up and shaping a department.  

The Job:

• Help set up the plant / factory
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Help build the team and culture
• Manage shift and days based engineers / technician
• Manage safety & quality systems, CMMS
• Work closely with Production Manager and Head of Manufacturing
• Track engineering activities, develop PPM schedules
• Lead weekly and monthly engineering meetings

The Person:

• Able to manage a maintenance team of 5 – 20 maintenance engineers / technicians
• Initially the role will be quite project based so the ability to be more hands on at times
• The role will then transition into more of a ‘business as usual’ position where continuous improvement and production efficiencies may be more of a focus, as will staff training, mentoring and development.
• The projects and expansion are likely to evolve and continue for a few years so ability to manage and prioritise different tasks are useful.
• Good understanding of LEAN
• Engaging leadership and good communication and collaboration skills important.
