Job description

Overseeing technical, engineering and facility projects to ensure on-time deliverables with a high level of accuracy and quality.

The ideal candidate will be able to confidently demonstrate an ability to engage with teams and translate improvement requirements into implementable tasks with practical timelines.

They will also demonstrate professionalism when communicating and collaborating with third-party clients, identifying, and pragmatically seeking resolutions to meet the project scope, budget, and targeted outcomes.

Duties

Reporting to the Operations Director, this role is hands-on. Key duties include:

Identify, prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor any improvement or innovation projects or facility upgrades.

Present business plans and works proposals with key deliverables, budgets, and performance improvement for board approval.

Monitor compliance to applicable codes of practice, QA/QC policies, performance standards, safety controls and specifications.

Interact daily with the business and third-party employed clients to meet project requirements.

Perform checks on the company and contractors’ overall quality of work, including but not limited to budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance.

Report regularly on project status and leading KPIs to the board and senior leadership team.

Leading practical application of continuous improvement methodologies

Oversee facilities and operations onsite to ensure proactive and reactive maintenance and remedial works are met in collaboration with the site Engineering (manager) department.

Manage subcontractors overseeing the installation and maintenance of all assets on-site.

The ideal candidate will have proven working experience as a Project Engineer and Facilities Manager, showing you can excel in strategic thinking, time management and organisational skills. You will also be:

Experienced in working with design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD

Able to demonstrate decision-making ability and leadership skills

Familiar with suitable regulations, best practices, and performance standards for project management and installations within the food environment.

Able to deliver projects in line with health and safety legislation requirements

Flexible approach to working hours

Experienced in MS Office programmes

Shift Pattern

45 hours per week; usually Monday to Friday, however remaining flexible depending on Project needs.
