We are working with an established FMCG manufacturing company based in Hinckley. They are recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary in the region of £45,000 - £55,000 along with career progression.

The Maintenance Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/5 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of PLC’s, Robotics, Drives, HMI’s and associated electronic equipment. Must be willing and able to undertake additional training and development as needed to work to and uphold standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Robotic fault finding and diagnostics
• Machine building
• A good understanding of Servo Drives
• Liaising with OEM’s
• Generate electrical schematics
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic control panels/systems
• Implement design improvements

Qualifications & Experience required:

• City and Guilds / Level 3 qualification in Engineering
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
• Experience working with automation in a fast paced production environment
