We are working with a leading manufacturing company who are seeking a Production/Quality Engineer specialising in CNC machined components. Located in Northwich, Cheshire, my client has been providing services to several niche sectors for over 40 years, making them a key and trusted name in the industry. They are dedicated to producing precision machined components and electro-mechanical assemblies for cutting-edge industries. Their facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment within purpose-built premises.

About the Role:

Are you a hands-on engineer with a knack for problem-solving? We are seeking individuals experienced in manufacturing low-volume, high-precision components to join our industry leading client. As a Production/Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will span various facets of our operations, including:

  • Developing cost-effective manufacturing methods utilising expertise in machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
  • Offline CNC Programming, primarily focusing on Turning.
  • Providing ongoing technical support to machine setters/operators.
  • Recording and documenting current processes.
  • Investigating non-conformity's and spearheading corrective and preventative actions.
  • Executing Quality Engineering functions.

Key Skills & Experience:

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency as a CNC Turner/Setter/Programmer (fixed head/bar fed lathes with FANUC controls).
  • Experience with twin spindle lathes featuring live tooling (FANUC controls).
  • Skilled in the use of EdgeCAM software, including post processor development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings, including geometrical tolerancing.
  • Competency in utilising inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 standards and adeptness at maintaining system procedures.
