Our client has over the past 40 years become a major force in the world of water pumps and associated equipment, providing a wide range of services to an extremely broad and varied client base across Scotland.

They provide full back up repair and maintenance coverage for the products, equipment, and services they supply and install in a variety of industries such as Agricultural, Oil & Gas, Marine, Biogas, Brewing & Distilling, Water & Power Leisure, and Food Processing.

They are currently seeking a Mechanical Team Lead for one of their sites in East Kilbride (G75).

In this role you will play a crucial role in managing their team of tradesmen and subcontractors on-site and within their facility. You will serve as the primary point of contact between the project manager and the trades, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead a team of tradesmen, providing guidance, direction, and practical support throughout the project.

Act as the intermediary between the project manager and the trades, communicating project requirements, timelines, and expectations effectively.

Coordinate subcontractors on-site when applicable, ensuring that work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Oversee piping installation projects, including layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems within the water industry.

Understanding risk assessments, ensuring compliance with various health and safety regulations, and coordinating lifting duties.

Candidates will have team management experience, ideally within water pumps and pump selection and pipework selection and installation.

Salary is circa £40,000 depending on experience plus extensive benefits including 25 Days Holiday + 9 Statutory Days Holidays and Company pension scheme.
