Geotechnical Director - Trendsetting Design Consultancy

Our client is an independent consultancy based in central London specialising in construction, analysis and design of ground engineering work. They have a primary focus on large urban building sites, this includes commercial, residential, brownfield, and some infrastructure projects. With a reputation for working across the full project lifecycle, from pre-planning and pre-site acquisition through to validation and construction. They take pride in their diverse client portfolio, showcasing a broad range of exciting projects. Majority of projects are London-based. They have worked on some of London's most iconic buildings, such as Google HQ, Battersea Power Station, 30 Grosvenor Square and Nine Elms Square. They also work on projects abroad such as in the Middle East, Australia and the United States.
Our client also has their own in house GI contractor and hydro company allowing further for full autonomy on projects assigned.

Role:

⦁ Assumes a leadership role within the team and manages group dynamics effectively.
⦁ Provides strategic guidance in collaboration with other directors.
⦁ Contributes to shaping the practice's vision and fostering a positive organisational culture.
⦁ Assists in coordinating various aspects of business operations.
⦁ Engages with clients to cultivate and maintain relationships.
⦁ Drives business development initiatives forward.
⦁ Directs projects within a diverse portfolio spanning both UK and international schemes.
⦁ Offers technical leadership and guidance on a day-to-day basis.
⦁ Supports other business initiatives, including geo-environmental disciplines, geotechnical and structural investigations, maritime consultancy, and monitoring & instrumentation.

Requirements:

⦁ Recognised as an industry leader in ground engineering consultancy.
⦁ Possesses a robust academic background in civil engineering and ground engineering.
⦁ Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency and a commitment to technical excellence.
⦁ Holds diverse experience across sectors, particularly in urban development and infrastructure.
⦁ Has successfully managed projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from conception to detailed design delivery.
⦁ Exhibits proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor teams effectively.
⦁ Communicates effectively, both internally and externally.
⦁ Displays an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong aptitude for business development.
