Advantage are proud to be assisting one of our long standing clients who are experts in thier field. Our client is looking for a long term Stores operative/Van Driver. This role is working between two sites and requires a full UK driving license. There is a genuine opportunity to go permanent with the company following a 3 month probation period through Advantage.

This position is for a storeman/stores delivery driver, working from the main site in Bradford. The role is to provide an efficient warehouse/delivery service to our Derby site.

The successful candidate will spend two days per week at the Derby site (Tuesday and Friday) assisting to maintain a well-organised warehouse whilst meeting the needs of our operations team.

The rest of your time will be spent at the Bradford site providing support and carrying out deliveries across customer sites.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

Derby and Bradford Sites

• Take receipt of all goods inwards and allocate into store quickly and appropriately 

• Supply all operatives with timely and accurate orders picked according to their requirements

• Operate a Fork Lift/Pallet truck as required to move stock

• Take responsibility for the general appearance and cleanliness of the Derby warehouse and loading areas

• Report to line manager on any housekeeping issues related to stores building

• To adopt a flexible approach to tasks in line with changing company

 • To collect stock from Bradford warehouse and deliver to customers sites for the operations team

• Take responsibility for the safe delivery of stock to the allocated storage facility provided on site 

£11.50 per hour 

40 hours a week (start and finish times can be flexible within reason)
