Mechanical Fitter 

The Company

Multi-skilled Assembler / Fitter is required by a long established and respected Engineering Manufacturing Company.  This interesting role is to work on various types of assembly and fitting to a high standard for equipment used in the food processing industry.

The Role

To assemble and fit all aspects of manufacturing components to a very high standard used to produce stainless steel food processing equipment.

You must be able to work within a team, either in the main production area or if applicable on a client’s site and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.

The Candidate

To apply for this role, you must have

1.    Experience in mechanical motor fitting/stripping and rebuilding.

2.    Experience in building air pneumatics.

3.    Candidates need to be able to read and have good understanding of engineering drawings

4.    Have significant experience of building special purpose machinery.

5.    Experience in building and fitting bearing housings

6.    City & Guilds Qualifications in Engineering would be an advantage or a good engineering background.

Working Hours:

Monday                                          7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm

Tuesday                                          7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm

Wednesday/Thursday                    7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm

Friday                                              7.30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime).

Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Reward

The company will offer the successful candidate a competitive salary dependent on experience
