Senior Electrical Design engineer / MEP / Building Services/ Electrical Design Engineer

This senior electrical design engineer role is to join a large building services design consultancy, they undertake award winning projects for the public and private sector, using the latest digital technologies and modern methods of construction.  All works are carried out in such a way to ensure they deliver projects in a lean, green and efficient way.

It’s a friendly team, offering flexibility, and as a senior electrical design engineer you will have a large amount of autonomy and freedom in running your own projects.

Responsibilities

• Input at tender / cost planning stage including evaluating M&E Consultants specifications and tender drawings
• Work with estimators to prepare tender lists for specialist sub-contractors and major plant and equipment
• Analyse bids and quotations for specification technical compliance
• Raise technical queries / RFI’s
• Delivery of Construction issue co-ordinated working drawings to programme
• Checking and sign off of Co-ordinated working drawings for compliance
• Producing Technical Submissions, liaising with subcontractors, manufacturers and design consultants
• Management of design team
• Manage CAD & Engineering resources
• Liaison with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Preparation and monitoring of client and design changes.
• Travel to visit projects

Experience & Skills

• Demonstrable experience as an electrical design engineer in building services
• Minimum relevant qualification to HNC, HND level
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual
