A Trainee Project Manager in engineering is urgently required for a leading organisation in the UK.  As a trainee project engineer you would join a Project Management team critical to the business as the main interface between the company and key customers co-ordinating and expediting all aspects of projects including planning, managing budgets, coordinating the team and ensuring successful delivery

This is an amazing opportunity to develop skills as a project engineer and gai those crucial project management skills in industry and adhering to quality and safety will make a real difference.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans and schedules, manage project budgets, procurement and resource allocation
  • You’ll lead the team monitoring progress, identifying as well as mitigating risks and ensuring all work is safe compliant, delivered at the right quality standard and is profitable
  • You’ll familiarise yourself with all aspects of the projects that you manage from specification, tender and all of the associated documentation
  • Ensuring all issues are captured you’ll manage, monitor, maintain and report the progress and financial achievement of the project to the leadership team

Qualification and Experience

  • An Engineering qualification
  • Experience in project managing or engineering mid to large-scale projects e.g., marine, oil and gas , renewables; ship repairs
  • Competency using MS Office and planning tools e.g., MS Project or similar
  • Leadership, problem solving, risk management and relationship management skills
  • Procurement and budget management skills including data analysis, excel and management reporting capability with accuracy and attention to detail
  • A strong planner and organiser comfortable making decisions to meet targets

Salary based on experience and what you will bring to the  - Attractive benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 4% pension contribution.  Overtime 1.5 x
