Job Overview: Our client, an established UK toolmaker that specialises in the design and manufacture of plastic injection mould & die casting tools are looking for a Mould Toolmaker to join their successful team.

Remit:                        

• As an Injection Mould Toolmaker you will be responsible for the manufacture and repair of tools used in the injection moulding and die casting industries.
• This role will suit an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker with a background in injection mould tool manufacturer proficient in CNC operating and programming.
• This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker to work a days role with a leading injection mould tool manufacturer who put their staff at the forefront of their business.

Role:

• As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, service and repair of injection mould and die casting tools from base components
• Programming & operating CNC machines
• Maintaining and calibrating tools and equipment
• All conventional machining (grinding, milling, turning, sparking) is required
• Ensure regular mould maintenance is carried out to the highest standard
• Maintain records of all work carried out and prepare clear concise descriptions of concerns and problems encountered.
• Maintain standards of Housekeeping and Health & Safety
• Working in a systematic fashion following any instructions available
• Maintain working area to a high standard

Experience Requirements:

• Recognised Toolmaking/Engineering apprenticeship
• You must have experience of maintenance, repair and modification of Injection Mould Tools in a well-equipped modern tool room, and high precision machining
• Proficient in CNC programming & operation
• Competent in the use of manual and standard toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, gauges and dial indicators
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
