Salary/Rate:
£33,000 - £38,000/annum plus overtime

Overall Objective of Role

Responsible to set & run CNC machines to make high accuracy medical devices.   Quality & process control are key features    Machines include Star & Tornos sliding head machines, Index Fixed head machines and Hermle 5 axis machines.  Full training will be given in all areas necessary

Desired Skills and Abilities:

Attention-to-detail to ensure that products coming off the machines are consistently to requirements.  Good communication skills to identify issues and for hand-overs between shifts.   Disciplined to ensure that all information is correctly documented

Key Tasks and Responsibilities           

  1. Set & run CNC machines making good quality parts to the required daily output volumes
  2. Update manufacturing information as instructed and required
  3. Keep machine areas clean & tidy at all times to ensure quality is maintained
  4. Achieve a pass mark in all Training modules undertaken
  5. Create and participate in continuous improvement activities

Experience and Qualifications Required

Experience of setting & running CNC machines an advantage, but not obligatory as full training will be given to candidates with the right attitude and chemistry

Key Training Achievements

  1. A full understanding of the role within the Quality Management System
  2. A full understanding of the process functions of the company
  3. An ability to read a drawing to a high standard as in the company training modules An ability to understand process control within the company’s requirements
